Evening all,

 

I have a 2001 Polo, 1.4 8v AUD engine that won’t start. Turns over fine but just won’t start. 
 

VCDS shows a P0343 code - camshaft position sensor. The sensor was replaced and didn’t solve the issue.

 

I have continuity on 2 of the 3 wires from the cps plug to the ecu plug. Does anyone know which colour wire does what and whether all 3 do go straight to the ecu?

Cam position sensor G40 

Pin 1 Green/Lilac to ECU pin 62 Supply (5Vdc)

Pin 2 Yellow/Black to ECU pin 60 Signal

Pin 3 Brown/Yellow Ground ECU pin 54

 

I see you have put your car as a MK3F on this forum the 6N2 is considered a MK5

It was the green/lilac one with no continuity so assuming that’s the problem.
