Hi all

 

My gas struts on the tailgate are giving up the ghost.

Whats the best replacement part? 

 

Is it an easy job to do?

The ones at the top look a bit fiddly!  Any advice on removing the top section?

It says it replaces 867827550D , I'm sure mine are 871827550A

 

 

Drop them an email, they're spot on. They made me a pair of higher strength ones up for a van so I could mount equipment inside the tailgate a few years ago and hardly charged any more than for the standard ones,

I've just rang them.  They can't supply new as the fixing on the car end is unique to VW.

The only way they can make me a set is by taking the fixings off my existing struts and using them on the new set.

This brings the price up to £60 and I then have no struts till they make the new set.  It's gonna be a lot easier to get a fully new set.

whats wrong with the dozens on ebay /autodoc
