Its got to the point where if I want something to do on the polo its almost all cosmetic now so I fancy having a crack at freshening up the interior. The fabric glued to the door cards has faded in direct sunlight over the years and is rather tired looking now. I've had a good look over the door card's construction and as far as I can tell its just a stretchy fabric glued down over the moulded fibre panel.

 

Has anyone else had a stab at this? They're quite complicated shapes which makes me think some heat and an appropriate fabric is involved to prevent any creases or folds.

 

The other question is where would you get 90's patterened fabric these days?!

 

 

I'm also looking for advice on this for my Mk4 / 9N3. The previous owner (and passenger) smoked like chimneys and there are few fag burns through the grey fabric material on the door cards...
