VW POLO 6N2 - ignition wiring - Start/Stop button

Featured Replies

I have a problem with the ignition of my Polo 6n2 1.4 TDi (2000)  ,

ON the last months I have to take a key to the full limit of the ignition and PUSH hard to start the engine, I even broke one of my keys ,  I replaced the electric switch already but still same issue.

Now I gonna install Start/Stop button to fire the engine but need IGNITION WIRING to know which wires start the engine.

ANYONE HAVE ignition wiring diagram ??

You can get the supply for your switch from the Black/Yellow wire as that will only be powered when the ignition key is turned to the ON position then the wire to the starter motor is the one circled

Not sure what extra you need all the relevant info is on that picture, you've got the battery supply (30) coming in at the top, the (X) contact supply that I suggested you get your supply from, the (15) contact is the ignition ON supply, the (P) is the parking light supply and the (SU) is the supply for the radio & speedo when the key is put into the ignition but not turned
