Iv got an Hi-torque starter off here and I'm fitting it on an ARC but iv read that the starter needs rotating to fit, does anyone have information on this?

is standard starter not strong enough to turn it over?

im having same probs with 1.6 conversion.

If it's a standard AFH then depends on what flywheel your using aswel, if it's a hybrid with a MK2/mk2f then you'll need a stronger starter motor, either Hi-torque one or a 2f diesel one will do but you'll only get one from Germany
