Mk2 Brake power regulator?

Featured Replies

I've a 1990 1L 4speed I was assuming that this wouldn't have a regulator, actually didn't think any MK2 did (thought they were Mk3 GT or G40) but GSF are listing a load of types of rear cylinders.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Getting brakes looked at and will probably need new cylinders.

Cheers

There was a rear brake load sensing regulator fitted to Mk2 Polos.

Its purpose is to prevent the rear brakes from locking up when only lightly laden.

You can easily see if it has a regulator from under the rear of the car - Its in the form of a cylinder with pipes leading to/from it and a spring-like link, connecting the suspension to the body.
