Hi, does anyone have a definate answer to whether side repeaters can be removed on a mk3 polo coupe, and it still pass a MOT.

Not sure this can be classed as definitive but my local (friendly) garage "suggested" I re-attached the repeaters on the G40.

They said that it was touch and go as to whether they were required. I THINK the MOT rules state that side repeaters are not required if "wrap around" style front light clusters are fitted. For this to be true a tester must be able to see the front indicator bulb flashing (actual bulb not reflection), when stood 0.3m (?) from the rear wing of the car.

When I was there they were in the process of failing a nova with them removed, becuase they couldn't see the fronts due to its big square arches!

As I say not definitive but hopefully helpful :-)
