Hi,

Can anyone help! I have a 64 plate VW polo. When I lock the car the interior lights stay on and flash randomly (including hazard light, steering wheel lights, electric window buttons) which is causing the battery to drain. Taken to VW for diagnostics they said to try new dash clocks as the first stage of repair for £1000!! Any advice welcome!! Dash clocks work perfectly fine normally.

I'd be thinking a faulty door shut sensor or circuit.

 

Does it do it regardless of whether you lock the car with the remote or by putting the key in the door?

 

Did they tell you what the outcome of the diagnostics was?

 

Do you know anyone who's got VCDS, who could give it a scan for you? Or let us know whereabouts you are and there may be someone local to you who's got the kit.
