Anybody know how to actually remove the handbrake cable from the backing plate on a mk2 polo? I see it is held in place by a rubber on each side, but I can't see how I can remove them.

Nevermind, It's just a case of wiggling the rubber through the hole.

That's one that's caught me out a few times, the crud and corrosion can make it feel like it must be clipped in somewhere.
