Noticed that o/s foglight looked opaque recently. Doesn't seem to be clearing away although water drops have become bigger. What could the issues be, and how would I deal with them?

Hi all

 

I removed the foglight and drained all the water out. I left in the sun with the bulb and rubber 'vents' removed for a day just to dry and air out. Then I reassembled it and put it back in the car. It seems to be stable for now (given that there's no rain or water anywhere near it) but I'm still unsure how so much water got there in the first place. Any ideas? 😕
