Hi, I have just been quoted 390 pounds for a clutch change on my 11 plate 1.2 tdi.  Is this a good price?  They told me its quite a difficult job on this polo so i just wanted to get your thoughts on it.  Thanks Dean

Probably rather location dependent. Doesn't sound outrageously expensive, especially if you're somewhere in the south of England.

Backstreet garage/VW specialist Indy/dealership etc will also make big chunks of difference to total price, cos of wide variations in labour rates. Takes a bit of time, so that will be the biggest factor.

Is this a hard job to do your self?? Would the subframe have to be dropped???
