Help! My 2008 Polo is gathering water in the drivers footwell.

Featured Replies

Please can anyone help! Got a 2008 3-door Polo match 60 with a load of water accumulating in the footwell. I've contacted my local VW garage and they've quoted £300 for them to take a look. I'm currently at university so can't really stretch that. Had the AA out but they didn't seem to be much help, removed some dirt from the wing but the car filled up once again and it's not been parked under any trees or anything. I'd really appreciate a hand with this as it's doing my head in!

  • Water Polo.    You could try shaking some talcum powder on interior to try to spot the track of drips. Might be the inner door membrane.   Not trees. Oh yeah, I've known rain come

Not trees. Oh yeah, I've known rain come down the bonnet catch cable when the area behind bulkhead had got full of leaves and dirt so was not draining (Skoda Octavia).
