Hi All

 

I have just bought a LHD Polo 9N 1.4 TDi (originally registered in Poland) and I am in the process of upgrading the central locking to remote CL using original VW parts.

 

Everything went well, finding the pin, coding the key immobiliser so the car starts etc but I cant find the remote central locking module to replace with the upgraded VW part!

 

The car is a LHD and the module is simply not where most of the posts tell me it should be and its driving me nuts! I have spent a lot of time looking for it - is there an alternative position used by VW - its not above the clutch pedal or any where else near and I have checked both the offside and nearside foot well area as well as behind the dash. I have even used a fibre optic camera with no luck.

 

Any suggestions much appreciated.

By symmetry I'd expect it to be high up under the dash on left side of car close to central heater box stuff. So above accelerator pedal.

Thanks for your reply, I will look again. This time I will remove the drivers seat to have more room.

 

This is what I can see - is it behind the ducting next to accelerator module?

Yes, I think so.
