vw polo mk 4 suspension lift

Featured Replies

I have had a polo mk 4 1.2 for about 7 years (same car) and have become somewhat attached to it. I have recently decided to make it more rugged to do some light off-roading in it (as soon I will need a new car and thought it would be a fun thing to do with it for a while). I don't want to spend huge amounts of money on doing this and so have decided to use suspension spacers instead of replacing the suspension to get some more space for bigger tyres and wheels. Only problem is I can not find any spacers online that actually  fit for example (Complete Lift Kit 30mm for Volkswagen GOLF, NEW BEETLE, POLO, UP!) this is on eBay but says it will only fit 2009-present and can not find anything similar that will fit my car.

My question is has anyone tried to do this/ what did you find and use?

And/or will these fit a mk 4 polo if it says for mk5 onwards only?

Sounds like a laugh. The easiest way to get another 1-3 inch of ground clearance on a 1.2 would probably be to put some shocks and springs off a diesel on. Or if it's a 9n / 9n3, look into getting some suspension off a Polo Dune?
