Oil leak - what's the name of this part?

Featured Replies

Hey all

While on the lift in the garage, I saw this leak from an aft engine oil connector. What the name of it? I guess I'll need a seal replacement but I want to see an exploded view diagram before taking it apart...

Will it be easier during an upcoming oil change?

Thanks in advance

  • Wow I think you're right I was looking at that diagram and got the perspective wrong - thought it was depicted much higher I'm checking some photos on google and matching it

Maybe you could look on 7zap and go by model year. The corrugated hose/cable cover looks like this millenium to me.

The first part missed me completely. I guess I have to be in the UK for that?

I do apologize though I thought I gave the model in my message. my bad.

It's a 1999 Mk3 1.6 AEE engine

Sorry, John Humphries is quiz show master for TV programme Mastermind.

AEE narrows the search 1999 even better. And I'm wrong it IS last millennium.
