Starting a build thread for my mk2 breadvan! Picked Edna up last year and done a few bits but nothing with regards to the engine yet...! It’s been lowered just with springs on standard shocks and trying to keep it simple with the look, tidied up the interior with some scirocco seats. There’s still plenty to do! Looking forward to starting on the 1.3 engine and looking for any advice ☺️

When you get carried away in an evening...

Edna was showing signs of head gasket failure so decided to begin the full hit! It’s something I wanted to do anyway, to learn a lot more.... with help from Ben & Rob ☺️! Stripped down carb, taken all necessary bits off, water pump, cambelt etc, which we’ll replace, along with any other worn items for good measure, when rebuilt. Head going to be skimmed and given a good seeing to!

Cheers man. I did have some banded steelies but had trouble getting them in the arches lol! But happy with the bottletops! Yeah that’s my mates place... Tasty_classics_uk, very handy 😀

Wanted to add this pic of the door cards that have been retrimmed.... the old stuff was peeling away so have been re-done in simple black. Dead chuffed with result.
