I was changing spark plugs and dropped the one from the no. 2 cylinder past the inlet manifold. There it landed somewhere and I saw a spark....😳
Appears there are damaged electrical wires wrapped around a pipe from the cooling system. 
Does anybody know what these wires are?

 

 

possibly starter motor ? thats always live

 

id suggest you take a closer look and repair it well , if it moves and touches earth then the car may catch fire 

Okay I have checked the whole cable and insulated it with electrical tape. Had to disconnect it at the starter motor to get my hands around it. Now a new problems arises: everything hooked back up and when i turn the key nothing happens. The starter motor doesn't turn or make any sound, pure silence.....
I have tested the positive cable i repaired, 12.4volts on both the starter end and the alternator end. The smaller blue cable (to the ignition?) also shows ohms when i test it on the starter end and the alternator end. Is there a fuse that's blown? Don't see any blown fuses in the engine compartment.

I didn't hear anything pop.

 

EDIT: Beginner's fault. the earth to the solenoid was not connected. The positive cable was blocking my view to the empty shiny pin 🤣

blue wire is for alternator :)
