Alarm Lithium battery???? HELP PLEASE

Featured Replies

Hiya,
Thanks for reading this, i have a 2010 Polo Moda 1.2 that I've spent months trying to find a parasitic battery drain problem on.
I have been told that it could be the lithium battery on the alarm sounder as would now be 11 years old so may not be holding charge but after buying a haynes manual i cannot find where this is situated & is this a possible drain????

Any help appreciated as my only other option is to pay £90 an hour plus vat at a VW approved dealership.

Have a look at this post https://www.clubpolo.co.uk/topic/351280-parasitic-battery-drain/?tab=comments#comment-2716182 I've posted a VW TSB on fault finding for parasitic drains.

I doubt the alarm battery would be the cause however the battery is probably at or near the end of it's life, I'll have a look to see if I can find it's location, normally they are under the scuttle panel area
