Rear arch/fuel cap panel.

Featured Replies

Does anybody know of any mk2 breadvans being scrapped in NI?

Have some serious rust around the fuel filler and arch. Need to cut out and replace the section so need to find me a scrapper I can get said panel cut out from.

Here's a rough idea of what I'm wanting to cut out.

Thanks, I was trying with a few different ideas and had seen I can get rear arches from heritagepartscentre etc... but just thought if there's a polo in NI I can get a single panel from it would be handier.

My MK2 went in the same place. Be prepared to find plenty more rot in the inner wheel arch skin once you start dismantling it. The rot here also allows water into the sill and can cause some serious metal worm issues there.

The 3 holes for the black trim also allow water to get in. I stuck my trim  on using silicone sealant around the holes to help keep the water out.

It's a bugger of a place to get rust but hopefully I can find a solid enough one that is being scrapped otherwise may have to resort to just getting a replacement arch and golf fuel filler from heritage parts.

trouble is most of the breaker cars will be just as rusty

Hi,

I have a rear arc panel for both side and a sill for drivers side. Located outside Downpatrick
