Hey folks,

 

Is anyone Edinburgh based and has VCDS? Some absolute Muppet has cut off the brake wear sensor, would rather not replace the whole harness and bridging isn't working (I presume a break further up as well maybe?)

 

Ideally want to disable the warning light through VCDS as it's doing my nut in, tried cheap Chinese clones but can't get any of them working.

What year is your car ? you've put 4F in your "About me" but that isn't a recognised model number on this forum if you have a look at this https://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/207-polos/ that gives the MK #'s as we classify them 

There might be a second set of wear sensor wiring on one side at the rear.

Just took a look, can't spot anything obvious, unless it's hiding inside the drum?

Looking at the wiring diagrams there is only the one wear sensor of the front left pad, a quick way of getting rid of the light would be to put a ground onto pin 1 (Red/Yellow wire) of the 8 pin connector on the speedo as there is no mention in the dealer workshop manual of the coding of the speedo, but I suspect it would be possible

Only cars with rear discs, and only 9N, not 9N3 by the looks of it. Rear right on my 9N, I remember being surprised when I first saw it.
