Hi, i have a ETG gearbox from a 6n2 GTi. With the 5th gear cover removed i'm able to wiggle the output shaft about 0.6mm radially, and about 0.6mm axially. 

Can anyone confirm how much float, if any the shaft should have.

The input shaft seems to have no axial play, and minimal radial play.

There is a post from Mark that lists a load of PDF's that he uploaded for me with the setup of the various requirements for tollerances

According to that it should be preloaded 0.2mm.
