It's only my second car so I'm not clued up too much and don't have the space to work on it anyway to have a look.

 

Does this sound like a blowing exhaust in the below

video? It's on a 1.0 TSI Polo 6C. Doesn't do it at every start up, but most, also revs are about 1250RPM when it does happen. Sounds purely awful as hell. Otherwise, about 1050RPM when it isn't sounding loud, towards the end of the video it just quietens down as the revs drop after roughly 20 seconds of the start.

Welcome to the Forum.

 

To be honest, I can only just here the engine on your video.

To check if the exhaust is in fact blowing, get an assistant to hold a pad of rag over the tail pipe whilst the engine is idling - If there is a 'blow' you will then hear it and hopefully be able to pin-point it.
