Fairly stock G40 which when cold, first 2miles or so, produces a real hesitancy around 1500-2k.
Higher rpm's seem to sort it - like it's forcing the engine to fix itself.
Warm engine sorts it too.

This leads me to thinking it would be the blue temp sender as that is temp dependant, but it isn't.

To my knowledge spark side is ok: Coil - Cap - Arm - Leads - Plugs

Note idle is fine hot or cold.

can check the ohms on the blue sender easy enough

 

is it a chug chug type of rich issue or a obvious misfire?

 

Blue temp is fine as I said in original post.

 

It's a lack of power, like for a second or less I have no fuel or spark - which creates a hesitancy more so than a misfire.

 

Only when cold is what is mystifing me - or is it a sign of hall sendor

does the rev counter do anything wierd when its happening?  hall sender usually makes it go wild 

 

could try another ebay dizzy....part ending AB from  a 6n will work and not too much money for a used genuine one

Problem solved - a dodgy spark plug!

 

Rev counter was fine - never did anything weird.
