Hi I was wondering if someone could help me with with the wiring to my new lights for my 1996 6n1 polo. There's two plugs for the back of the lights but there's a plug to go into the original loom There's no plug that fits into the loom that was with the new lights ill post some pictures hopefully someone can help!

That looks like it's a loom that has two relays to provide better power to the headlights, the relays plug into the two white 4 pin connectors and the two red wires with tags goes onto the battery positive terminal, however with both of the headlights now running on a single earth rather negates the better relayed power supply

Thanks for the reply do you know where that plug goes in the second picture? I can't find anywhere to plug it into

It looks like you plug into the connector removed from the passenger side headlight then the new loom connects to the headlight and the other plug runs across to the drivers headlight and you just  stow the original drivers side loom connector ?? but without having it in my hands this is only guesswork

Yeah just had another look the connectors on both sides are 4 pin this 7 pin plug is a mystery to me there's nowhere in the engine bay for it to connect to they're depo angel eyes if that helps

Just had another look on the Internet a guy on a different site has the same issue and he said that the 7 pin plug is for newer polo's with headlight levelling motors which I don't have could I cut the plug then wire it into the existing loom and would the angel eyes still work? Thanks 

Yes the 7 pin is for the headights with the motorised level adjustment.

 

What connectors do your new/replacement lights have ? can you post picture of them.  Normally "Angel Eyes" just run off the sidelight supply

These are the plugs for the new lights and the wires that are in them

Where my original loom only has 4 pins also included a picture of the back of the new lights 

OK it's only pins 1~4 you need to worry about Pin 1 White wire is the Hi beam, Pin 2 Grey wire is the side light, Pin 3 Yellow wire is the Lo beam & Pin 4 Brown wire is the ground

 

So in your first post the second picture of the connector with the Pins either extract pins 1~4 and push them into the 4 pin original car connector and secure them or cut the wires off and crimp/solder them together
