Polo Match 1.2 2009, wanting to replace the radio, so it has Aux

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I recently purchased this car, only to find it doesn't have an Aux :(, so I'm guessing the easiest option is to replace the unit, just something cheap and that will fit, she's not bothered about a CD player, just something she plugs her phone into.

TIA

Have you considered a Bluetooth to FM transmitter?

Phone sends music over Bluetooth to adaptor powered by cigarette lighter socket and retransmits on FM to car radio.

I think mobile phone must be new enough to do A2DP Bluetooth.

Best quality in new phones will be aptX.

Belkin had a good one Tunecast?  Some have 3.5mm aux plugs or sockets too so you can plug into older phone or MP3 player or Walkman cassette player.

Which head unit is it? I lot of the standard head units have a plug in the back for a cd changer. If it does, you can get an aux adapter for a few quid that plugs in there.

Or if you're lazy like me, just get a Bluetooth speaker.
