Does a 2011 Polo 60S have remote central locking?

Featured Replies

My son just bought a nice 2011 Polo 60S - which came with only one key with only a built in torch - no remote key - will this model have remote ability? The indicators all flash when car is locked which seems hopeful to me?

Any advice most welcome!

See if there's a build data sticker in/near the spare wheel well. Take a picture of the codes on there, or look for ones such as 4F1, 4K3.

Also, have a look at the front passenger side door to see if there's a key hole there or not.

Will do thanks. I'm pretty sure there isn't one on passenger side, will check when he gets back this afternoon!

On looking again it does have a lock on the passenger door, I looked at the label, it's pretty filthy but I can't see those codes on it sadly. Just seems to be a Polo 1.2 TREND

I think, but not 100% sure that the presence of a keyhole on the passenger front door may imply that there is no remote central locking from the factory.  My 9N3 was/is like that, where our Fabia with remote C/L lacks a passenger side keyhole.

Whatever build codes there may have been on the sticker appear to have suffered from the water ingress into the boot area that must be either current or historical. See if there's a copy of the sticker inside the service book, if that's still existing.
