A bit of a mystery...

My polo has recently started to make a short melodic 'tune' each time I turn on or off the ignition (afrer a few seconds delay). The sound comes from the glove compartment area which also houses the CD player.

The car is unaffected otherwise.

I reset the oil and service intervals but that made no difference.

I'm going loopy trying to find out why. Anyone know?
