Very interesting! The one big takeaway from these sort of electric conversion projects is just how much new stuff you have to learn and become familiar with - a lot of the mechanical engineering concepts are transferable but electrical and electronic engineering isn't a big part of a lot of classic enthusiast's skillsets. Which of course is a great because its more things to learn!

 

Would love to do something like this, but the cost of having a second car (couldn't spend that much time with a daily laid-up), space to do so and then all the parts etc will preclude it for a while I think. But I'm really optimistic and excited that there is a space for 'hot hatch' enthusiasts in a future divesting away from ICEs. The future is bright (and fast!)
