at that price i would get busy with some scrap , doesnt need to be pretty

  • The aee  is the same bolt pattern as a mk2 polo engine. The plate adapts that to fit a Skoda gearbox (different bolt pattern). I was thinking it might be a decent starting point to give you something

  • That should of been deleted when we reverted to the old classified section, it has now, thanks for highlighting it 👍

I reckon it's part number 867399301A ... but VW Heritage had no hits.

Might end up welding something. I see Golf conversion mounts go for £200 ish

I can find the bonded rubber mount

867199302A

And still got a spare rubber bush from changing to G60 rallye mount lower.

what happened to your old one?

Planning on making an engine test stand.

Would stop at flywheel, no clutch/gearbox, but the starter motor body and shaft needs the gearbox housing. So the gearbox needs supporting.

I might have a 4 speed box and mount if that would work?

The other thing I would suggest is 1.6 Skoda Felicias have an adaptor plate between the VW AEE engine and the Skoda gearbox.

Might have found one in Germany

What year Felicia? I'll look on 7zap.

Instead of the end plate? Does it fit 085?

No, you said between AEE engine and Skoda gearbox.

Yeti, do you mean use just the clutch housing section off a Skoda Felicia gearbox?

Got one!IMG_20220718_111953_4.thumb.jpg.9f45449ce6654a61c0ea94aaca029c2a.jpgGerman eBay came up trumps. And came with all the other engine mount hardware and flywheel cover plate too.  Bit of pressure wash and paint I think.

could weld on the extra bit to make it g40 spec

Powder coat it and sell it for £1000. 🤔

Where does the extra plate go?

Where's the  'Mark as sold' button the guide mentions?

I'll have to look closely at my fitted mount bracket.

I think it came with an 8P gearbox from Andy in Scotland (G40 owner).

I don't recall a gap between saddle/cup for the rubber and the rest of the metal bracket, so it may well be a G40 mount I have. That's where I think I would strengthen it, anyway.

I would edit the title to say I've found one, but I'm also stuck on just how to edit the thread title.

If you've found the item you are looking for please change the title to read "ACQUIRED"

You can only edit the title within 24hrs after that only mods/staff can edit it which I have done
