Hi, I have an issue with my '07 9N 3 door polo. The central locking is playing up where unlocking the drivers door does not unlock any other door, or the petrol cap. This problem is intermittent but persistant, and can prevent filling up with fuel. 

 

Is this a common problem and does anyone have any suggestions? 

Do the electric windows also stop working when the locking is misbehaving?

They are manual, not electrical. 

Ah, in that case it may be a cracked solder joint within the lock module.  See if you can influence whether the C/L works properly by giving the door a bit of a clout just under the handle while turning the key to lock/unlock.
