I would be grateful of a little advice please, my airbag warning light has been on continuously for several years, every time it goes for an mot my local mechanic cancells teh light with his computer and the nest day it comes back on!

I'm a bit fed up now and would like to remedy this once and for all so any advice would appreciated

To start with find out what fault code(s) are being stored and from that information it should be possible to get you on the correct fault finding route.

Many thanks for your help, my car goes for an mot next week and it's annual warning light cancel, I will ask for the fault codes!

If I were making a guess, I'd say the electrical plugs under one of the seats is probably damanged. Like @nige8021 says though, better to start with the codes in hand if possible, it takes the guessing out of it.
