Can I put any alloys on my 9N3?

Featured Replies

hi all

just bought a 2006 polo 1.2 😁 Looking to get some cheap alloys to upgrade from the ones on there now as they are in pretty bad condition

I am clueless about modding but would like to make sure the wheels will fit before I part with ~£400

i have 15” wheels.. can I put any 15” alloy on these?

Or can I put any 15” VW polo alloys on here if I find some spares? Do they have to be the same model as mine?

Sorry for stupid questions but I wont learn unless someone helps lol 😆

Hi budd yes you can swop wheels. Any vw wheels will fit your car. Only I advise that you check out the tyre size. And stick to whatever size you have on the car. as I’ve seen you can be looking at tyres and thinking they are ok. Yes they are ok for that particular model of car.  You’re removing them from. Do not do what I did, I bought from the scrap yard. Only to find the tyres were bigger. Than what I had fitted on the car. “ I also found out afterwards that I required the matching wheel bolts for the aliminum wheels. “        once fitted on the car, I found that the bigger tyres were hitting the bodywork. So be extra careful when looking. Just check out the tyre sizes. And stick with the correct size that’s on the car. that’s why manufacturers test cars before we have them from the garage. Your safety is worth more than a nice looking set of wheels. With tyres that are too big for your car.

Ps it’s not a stupid question. Messing with something your not sure about could kill you and many other. I don’t think you want an early grave either.
