Hi Everyone

 

My Polo Mk5 heated rear window has stopped working, can anyone show me a diagram of the fuse box and the number of the fuse to check to see if it has blown please?

First Welcome to the forum.

 

The dealer wiring diagrams don't list any fuse specific to the heated rear window, but there are several fuses for the onboard power supply unit that controls the HRW #1 40a, #2 40a, #3 30a, #38 40a, #41 30a & #51 10a   looking at previous models and the HRW fuse was a 30a so I would check those first. #3 or #41

The switch just sends a ground signal to the onboard power supply unit and that sends the power to the HRW  Does the rear wiper and high level brake light work ? if they don't then you would be looking at an ground problem in the hatch wiring or the coupling stations in the hatch

Yes the rear wiper and high level brake light both work, thanks again for your help, its very much appreciated.

 

Update: Just checked, fuse #41 has blown, I’ll get a replacement today and fit, hopefully there’s not an underlying issue which caused it to blow in the first place.
