Hi any help much appreciated. 
have 2006 1.4tdi power steering light started coming on intermittently but eventually on all the time. Would reset sometimes when car is restarted. Have replaced pump twice with second hand ones they would be fine for about 2 weeks then start off again. Also replaced angle sensor. Garage man tells me it’s pump but I couldn’t be that unlucky with 2 pump replacements there must be something else going on any help please?

If you turn the ignition on without starting the car, does your battery light come on?

Hi yes it does and oil light flashes for 3 seconds or so. 
Another thing that happened only once the other day the abs and hand brake light stared flashing and beeping turned off the car and everything back to normal when restarted. 

Do you know how old the battery is? Can you borrow another to try?

I'm thinking what I think Pete's thinking. Low voltage at engine start which is stopping systems from powering up properly.

 

 

Battery is fine ,Fuses ok, Earth is fine. 
Took it to Diagnostic man today he couldn’t pick up any faults. 
He said it’s definitely pump in his opinion cover is gone off the bottom of the engine he reckons it’s water damage that’s causing it to I don’t know anymore have located another pump going to try it as last resort. 
unless anyone any more ideas?
