I think its common on Polo's for the plastic handle with the small metal clip to come off and its an easy fix to just buy a new clip/handle and push it back on again. In my case its a bit different - the end of the metal lever it pushes onto has also snapped off so there is nothing for the metal clip to actually grip.

 

I've tried to epoxy it back on in some sort of bodge but it really hasn't worked.

 

I just wondered if anyone else has had this common problem but with a similar nasty twist?

 

Looked on eBay for seats but absolutely nothing for a 3dr and as far as I can tell that mechanism with the metal lever isn't really changeable.

I always like to post a conclusion even if its a boring one incase anyone else ends up here. I had to change the entire seat and just be patient for one to come available.

 

There is a Polo breaker on ebay called "polo-nium" who I brought some from in the end. Really nice guy
