Snapped Exhaust Hanger

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

The inevitable finally happened tonight and one of my exhaust hangers went on the breadvan. The right hand side one snapped clean off near the top so obviously no "hook" part left. Now only the left hanger remains.

Anybody had any experience with this happening to them before? What did you do? Would it be best to take to and exhaust shop and get them to weld on new hangers maybe?

Thanks,

Riley

i bent up a length of 10mm bar , welded on 2x washers and bolted it on where theres a bit of box section

you can buy mk2 golf exhaust hooks , which could be bolted on , not exactly correct but would make an ok repair

Ah ok yeah that makes sense thanks for the advice.

Will take it to a shop or at least a welder's as I haven't got a welder.
