Hi i finally had time to upload some info,photos about my project

Trabant 1.1 

 

at start i had plan just use bike carbs from cbr600 with 1.1 engine 😁 this motor worked with this carb swap but it was not enough for me 😁

 

i decided to buy 1.3 gt engine 

and upgrade it with supercharger eaton m45 from mini

now its still under construction

upgrading fron axles,interior and more…

front axle will be something like “hybrid” 😂 parts from opel corsa B,vw polo 86c 

wheels oz ultralaggera r15x7

front suspension opel corsa B coilovers

rear new dumper for trabi with spring from octavia coilovers with custom spring mounts

Is that an original VEB Heidenau tyre on the driver's side?

Yes, on steelies. Just the tread pattern looks primitive. I remember Trabis heading out of East Germany and going to all corners of Europe in 1989-90.

Might be 30 years old, after a 17 year wait from ordering.
