I have a 2006 VW Polo 1.2 which has been sat on my drive for a year and is sorn.

 

the passenger side rear window was smashed and so I used a plastic polythene bag to cover it.

 

I recently replaced the battery and the car started first time and straight away so no issues there.

 

However tonight as I was getting the car ready to take to a place that will replace the rear window I noticed that both front electric windows will not work.

My first thought was that possibly there could be some damage to the electrics from water damage?

 

I took a look at the manual and removed the cover from the fuse box but I can’t make sense of it. I have taken pictures on my iPhone but I can’t upload them as they are more than 2 mb which this site won’t allow.

 

 

 

How should I go about resolving this and yes I am completely clueless about cars, electrics and anything technical.

The relevant fuses are highlighted here. 

 

 

If all three of those are OK, it may be that the driver's side motor module is in need of repair.  This link may be handy. 🙂

Thank you Pete 1 for your quick response and for your insight. So I shall check the fuses first and if they still don’t work then it looks like aIll be contacting you for a repair.
