Hi all not long done my first engine swap went from ahw to afk straight swap no need to change anything  now I have the ahw sitting there begging for a build so I have been reading and searching but I can only find one person who has done this with the 1.4 6n2 block everyone else have done it with the afh head 1.6 bottom is there any one out there can help me with parts list thing I know I need are

1.bottom end sourced 

2. gti head bolt ebay 

3.ahw head got 

4.gti water pump ebay 

Thing I need help with

1.cam belt witch one ?

2.will ecu be OK or should I go with a standalone I don't mind as I plan on doing a supercharged build in the near future 😉 

Is there anything else I'm missing before I start ordering

You need to know if the block to head height is different to choose the cambelt.

 

AHW has a tensioner (and small belt for cam to cam) so that cambelt might be okay. Beware the crank pulley keyway is a weak point on AHW, so check for play or fit a new one.

 

ECU ideally needs a remap to compensate for 200cc difference - even with same camshaft - may need bigger injectors too.

 

Supercharging will also require compression reduction (like a spacer plate and

two vernier pulleys), custom fuel and ignition map.

Just picked up the 1.6 bottom I'm going to go straight to supercharger I'm basically following caspers supercharged gti lupo other than his rods and pistons  I'm only trying to get 150 bhp if I'm lucky I have found a seller in Germany that sells decompression plates and gaskets I'm going to try and am for a comp of 8.5/9 max so I'll will need a spacer of 3mm if my maths is right I will be using a speeduino ecu found someone that will make a plug and play kit for 250 happy days 

Intercooler will the 1.4 tdi be up to the job or should I get one of those universal kits ?

Things imgoing to need

1mini  supercharger and tensioner 

2 sheet metal for mount

3 mini supercharger tensioner will need a bigger pully with edges to stop the belt moving 

4 intercooler and piping hoping I can use the 1.4 tdi if not uni it is 

5 recirculation valve

6 1830mm belt 

7 head gaskets and gti head bolts

I need a wiring diagram so the ecu builder can do his thing if any can help out send pic or link will be grateful polo 6n2 running ahw wiring loom

Maybe bigger fuel pump or larger injectors for shorter duty cycle but I'd think there should be enough capacity for 150hp.

 

How are you measuring air flow?

I assume Speeduino has a manifold pressure sensor.

 

I was hoping the vw 1.8t map sensor will work speeduino isn't the best with map sensor but they do work I already have gti Injectors in ther atm pretty sure I have gti brake setup as last owner put the full gti suspension and rear axle when I put the coilovers on here the first set of disc and pads was to small so I ended up using gti disc and pads should be sound I think  there to much atm very sharp

Better coilover setup maybe stanceplus I have cheap jom atm and the camber is mental no matter what I do or the garage we cannot get the wheels straight looks good tho 

Any advice where to locate paint code i have a amazing coulor its gray with blue and silver flakes might be a pearl looks the part when i giver her the monthly wax

Just waiting for parts will take me around 2 3 months to collect everything before I start to build it so will update but slow

Wideband will help the Speeduino mapping. Get the ignition timing right first with richer mixture, then lean off for cruise.
