Engine mount location on new 6n2 auc engine???

Featured Replies

Putting a new auc 1L petrol engine in my 2001 polo after timing belt went on the old engine.

There appears to be no way to attach the engine mount bracket on the new engine. The plastic cover covers the whole right side of the engine?

Do I have the wrong engine or am I missing something obvious. It is an AUC 2001. I cant find anything online about an alternate way for it to be mounted?

Here's a pick of an AUC engine mount

Clearly needs 3 bolts in a triangle pattern, so unless there's another L-shaped piece to go around the side of the block, I fear it is wrong engine.

Engine number and code used to be on block front right on old VWs.

I have that piece from the old engine but there is no way to attach it as the crank cover is in the way. It says AUC on the cover sticker and everything else on the engine is exactly the same. I can't find reference to an AUC engine anywhere that doesn't have the normal mount.

Could it be wrong plastic piece behind the pulleys?

(and surely not an AUC cover on a different engine, though not sure what)
