Chasing a better gear change

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

The feel of gear changes in my '93 5spd are feeling, in a word: lackluster. I have found a small rebuild kit on heritage and would just like some advice if anybody has fitted this kit before or has past knowledge.

Would this kit solve my gear change problems? As in would it refresh the change noticeably with just these parts?

Thank you!

Like this you would say?

I'll have a look for a thread on here as I've no idea what I'm doing fitting the new parts also! 😂

yeah its like that , not sure why theyre not listing polo mk2 , also avail on ebay

I'd say do the shift finger first and see how it feels, it's the easy end of the job and normally gets the feel most of the way there. Then if it's not quite what you're after, do the other end using the kit you linked. .
