Just changed the entire sound system in my 1990 parade for a more era appropriate one, looking for any information on the cassette storage mentioned in the owners manual

They are made by a company called "fischer" for all the car companies back in the day. If you google that or "C Box" or mix of them you should find some online.

 

MK2f polos are RHD and LHD specific, not sure on mk2 so maybe worth a check on the part numbers online.

 

Not a Polo, but my dad had one of these storage units in his volvo 340.  You have to bear in mind you can only store the cassettes and not the boxes with inlays. so you'll need to keep the boxes somewhere safe and not lose themlike we used to.
