recently bought a 1994 polo match coupe as a bit of a project car. However, the exhaust keeps falling off the back pegs and was wondering whether anyone knows of an easy fix? The driver side lock also doesn't unlock from the outside and if there's a way I can fix that myself without going to a garage. As well as the lock the wing mirrors don't seem to move. Was also wondering it anybody had some spare parts, ie rims bumpers etc that they wouldn't mind getting rid of or selling.

The rear hangers can become a bit flexible if they're rusting, so that's the first place to look. There should be another hanger at the back of the centre silencer, if that's missing, the exhaust will rock about all over the place. 

 

As for the lock and the mirrors, a can of WD40 with a straw on is probably a decent starting point.

Thanks for the reply. Have sorted the wing mirror and lock. Had a look at the exhaust as well and think you’re right i’ve got a couple bits missing under the exhaust think it’s the centre part but need to get the car up so I can see underneath.
