Hi all, polo GT - what happens if the engine stalls with the blue temp sensor off and I accidentally restarted the engine with it unplugged (it didn’t really manage to start just coughed and stalled again) but I read here it goes into ‘limp mode’ - how do I clear this if it has??

On a GT, the moment the blue temp sender is unplugged, it stores a fault code.

The easiest way is to clear any codes with software or code reader.  I believe the ECU does eventually clear fault codes in time.

Do you have access to a laptop?  I use VCDS lite and a cheap ebay cable to clear fault codes.
