My Polo Radio/CD gets power and the CD player works. But cannot get any signal on radio. I am assuming it's the radio signal amplifier. But I cannot seem to locate it? It's a 06 9N model.

The amplifier is in the base of the aerial and it gets its power supply from the radio via the aerial lead, if you have an aftermarket radio you will need to use something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175108517307?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=g_UaOp-ZS5a&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=RyIgQzMwRFC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY. If you have the OEM Radio then you can remove the aerial and open it up as there is a spring steel connection between the amplifier and the actual aerial and this can get some corrosion on it and this will stop any signals from getting into the amplifier and hence no reception

Ok you’ll need to drop the rear of the headliner to undo the large nut that holds the aerial base down with it removed under the rubber gasket you’ll see a few screws that holds the base/amplifier into the cover when you pull this out you’ll see what looks like a scorpion’s tail that’s the bit that can suffer with corrosion on the tip and where it contacts the actual aerial rod.

New rubber gaskets are available on eBay for a couple of £’s
