newbie VW POLO 6N 1997-98 immobilizer no keys - help

Hi - I'm new in this forum.

I have an old POLO 6N Hatchback, february 1998, automatic, 5-door.

Bought it in Italy, private sale.

 

Last year it was stolen and now the police found it - but I have no keys at all.

All doors and boot are open, unlocked.

I don't know what to do, to get this up and running again.

I really need all the help you can provide ;-) Thanks

 

Can anyone help with suggestion what do I do, and how to do it?

New keys? Recoding the immobilizer (don't know if I even got one)? Recoding new keys (transponder)?

Code or ID from VW?

 

NB: There are no LED signs on the dash board, showing any "key-in-car" icon, when ignition are turned on (I have an old video of starting sequence)

The immob code is in the ECU, so I’d have thought an ECU, set of locks and keys from a scrap yard should fix it.
