6n2 Polo gti oil smells strongly of petrol

Hello,

The oil in my 6n2 keeps fouling and smelling strongly of petrol. Everything seems to be running fine and tested the compression which is sitting pretty high so i dont think the rings are a problem. Is this common for this engine's oil to smell strongly of petrol as the GDI engines do?

Also I've been running this on E5, I haven't found any definitive information whether these engines can run on E10 or not, does anyone know?
