Hello everyone,

The past weeks I have been trying to fix an anoying issue on my mk2f breadvan (1994 1.0 spi), where it hesitates on acceleration when the engine is cold. I have come to the conclusion that the lower blue cold start temperature sensor is defective, since the car behaves much better when i leave it unplugged (please correct me if i am wrong about the function of the sensor). I have also replaced all rubber vacuum lines.

Now I am wondering what the specifications are of the sensor, such as ohm ranges and/or activation temperatures, since there are quite a few sensors I can buy online that have different specifications. In the picure the black 2-pin plug is for the temperature meter on the dash and the blue 2-pin blue one is for the communication with the ecu (so i think).

Would love to hear some advice or other solutions!

The graphs for resistance vs temperature will be posted in an FAQ section somewhere, unfortunately i can't recommend a starting point for you. If it were me i'd just change it, Febi blue senders are available from autodoc i think.
