So I have a 1986 Polo 1.3 S having trouble with indicators - Hazards work as they should but when indicator stalk is used for indicators the dash indicator lights stays on solid not flashing and the indicators do not work. Replaced both indicator relay and stalk and cleaned all contacts. Any pointers to what I should be looking at

    Thank you after much fettling last night all is now working as it should replaced a fuse (I could swear it was fine when I first check it ) but started a trace process and found the blown fuse! Thank

    I replaced the indicator stalk arm and it’s possible that may have blown the fuse - just gonna keep and eye on it and ensure all is OK thank you for your comment

Just wondering what caused the fuse to blow?

Bulb filament burning out is its own fuse usually, then one side flashes too quick.

I suppose the emergency flashers are direct from battery, so will always work on broken down car.
