The rear foglight isn’t working.

I’ve swapped bulb, fuse and even borrowed a switch from a mate.

Where would people recommend to check next, where are earths?

Have you checked the earth connection ? Also check the supply cables with a multimeter to confirm power is reaching the light

At risk of asking a stupid question - have you got your headlights on, and are they working correctly?

Have had headlights on and working ok as far as I’m aware but will double check 👍

Is there a seperate earth for it in around boot?

It sure the light unit may have an earth wire but check your getting power first if you do r have a multimeter use a bulb and two bits of wire - good luck it can be a pain in the proverbial thing to Suss it out

Checked and cleaned earth in boot, checked where wires go through near bootlid etc just incase but no further. Don’t have multimeter so need to wait on mate having a look.

And at risk of asking another daft question, you are going to the second click of the switch? The first one is for the fronts (whether you have them or not). I've got it in my head there's a little telltale red light in the side of the switch rocker that should come on.

The headlight switch could also be a suspect. I'd check for power at the foglight switch plug with the headlights off and on.

Cheers yeah doing all that, my scirocco had front fogs so know about the double click 👍 switch from mates car had been sitting good few years so could still be suspect.

If it's a mk2 rocco, it should be the same headlight switch, just upside down if you wanted to swap them and see if the fault moves?
